5 PLACES TO VISIT IN ROME, ITALY

5 PLACES TO VISIT IN ROME

1. MARGHERITA SUITES, ROME ITALY - SEE HERE

We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and this whole trip was a total surprise!
Upon the arrival we found ourselves standing in front of these huge golden ancient doors that you can only get into by being greeted by the person you booked with yourself. Then you're given the cards as keys to get in and out of the main door as well as the place. This apartment felt very personal and safe, we got a lift up to our floor and the whole place seemed so spacious in general. The inside was very clean and private, there is a hallway that only then takes you to the room. The bathroom has a standing shower that was stunning around white marble walls and floor.
The place itself was situated only a couple of minutes away from a train station - but majority of places we could simply walk to. Definitely a winner.

2.  COLOSSEUM

I highly recommend to go early in the morning to avoid the peak hours, it gets PACKED around 1pm onwards! We actually listened to a little tour on our earphones downloaded off the app store totally for free - otherwise they do offer you physical tours and audio to buy at the door but we really enjoyed walked around and learning about the place through audio listening and reading around the 'history' area. Also every Sunday, the first day of the month the Colosseum is FREE ENTRY! so if you're planning in the days now, you're welcome.

3. OPPIO CAFFE

Now I don't know if my mid-day cocktail had any influence to this but this place is a must when visiting Rome, especially if you're visiting the Colosseum anyway. Situated in-front of the Colosseum it was super easy to get to and the brunch was simple, quick and tasty!

4. PANTHEON BUILDING

So this building was one of the oldest buildings in Rome still standing, it really looks it too! Not only was this a must-see when in Rome all the little shops and views around there are incredible. We walked around and found a pizza place, a very touristy but pretty water fountain and lunch spots with beautiful views. So once you get to this location, everything around is very picture perfect.

5. MINERVA ROOF GARDEN, ROME ITALY - SEE HERE

This was actually found by my boyfriend prior our trip, he said he was on the look for roof top gardens and this seemed like a nice place. It was actually a hotel - so that's another possible location to stay at, plus it has a V decent view up there! We had a beautiful time there cheering to our 5 years together so nothing else mattered really - but we did feel that the atmosphere inside was slightly too quiet - some nice peaceful music could've played out loud and we were served by around 4 different staff haha. As an overall we still genuinely had a wonderful time there and enjoyed our little romantic and peaceful time together with a stunning view and amazing food!

I hope you enjoyed this post and liking the 5's of everything on the blog!

Love, Skai x
